Health and Safety Protocols

The health and safety of conference attendees is our priority. Below are a variety of ways we will foster a COVID-safe environment at the Annual Conference, as well as recommendations for how you can join us in helping to keep members of the HBA community healthy while in Chicago.

What we will do 
(in partnership with the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk hotel)

• Provide face masks and COVID-19 tests at registration
• Provide hand sanitizer at registration and multiple areas throughout the hotel
• Monitor CDC and WHO guidelines at regular intervals, and adjust our health and safety protocols as needed
• Adhere to state, city, and hotel policies

What you can do

• Get vaccinated and boosted according to the most up-to date CDC and WHO guidelines before attending
• Wear a mask covering your nose, mouth, and chin when indoors and traveling 
• Test yourself with a home test kit before travel and bring a test kit with you to test again if you begin to feel sick
• Stay home if you feel sick or experience COVID-19 symptoms or if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 within the last seven (7) days  
• Wash your hands regularly and for at least 20 seconds
• Frequently use hand sanitizer
